Assignment #9; composition, texture,repetition, angle of view

Contrast
For my contrast picture, I chose this one.

I really like how bright the colors of the roses are. They really pop, and for a second I thought that My EV was too high, but I realized that the roses are actually white-tipped. I name this one, french tip rose:)
However, I went to the aquarium and took some pictures, and I wanted to share this one as well. I am really drawn to the combination of the deep blue and orange of the Medusa.

Texture
For texture, I picked the little feather on gravel. It was actually tiny. I had to kneel down to get a good look. It was a completely coincidental discovery. I tripped, looked down, and not only does the texture contrasts between rock and feather, but the colors as well.
Because I have some weird fascination with trees, I also wanted to include this one:
And this one!---------->
 Repetition

I would just like to say for the record, goats don't listen very well. I stood there, making faces, and jumping, whistling and all kind of silly things to try and get them to look at me all at once. NO LUCK. One even had the nerve to say BEEEHHHH. On a different note, I really like goats, and taking photos of them. They are very photogenic:)

 Angle of View

I had a hard time getting the focus right. However, I can't say i hate the way it is in the picture. I am curious as to whether this would also work for a representation of depth.Again, my fascination of trees has influenced this photo greatly.It also has texture.  I walked under many trees hoping to spot a critter on one of them. I had no luck. I still took this photo because I loved the colors on the bark. I did find a spider, but not on a tree. Here he is:)

  1. Great contrast in your shot with the flowers. The photo would be made stronger with a little cropping to eliminate some of the grass on the bottom and to place more of the emphasis on the bold colours of the blooms.

    Loving the moss photos too! Great texture and angles of view for them.

    Well down Ekat.

  2. I really like the contrast of the roses as well, but i most certainly enjoy the shot of the jelly fish as contrast because i am really into underwater shots! One thing that would be more eye catching for me would be tilting the feather slightly in the texture photo but i really liked how it also could have included contrast as a composition! Awesome photos!

  3. I like your photo of the angle of view, the way its clear and how it faded when you look further.
